Catherine Campbell Beatty was born in Los Angeles. She has practiced law since 1994. Ms. Beatty graduated from UCLA in 1984 with a degree in Economics. She worked in banking and finance as an Assistant Vice President for many years at Union Bank, before attending law school.
Ms. Beatty received her juris doctor in 1994 from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was on the Dean’s Honor List. She is admitted to practice in all of the California state courts and the United States District Court, Central District of California.
Ms. Beatty’s practice now is primarily business litigation. She has significant appellate experience and was appointed a panel attorney for the California Appellate Project. She was the lead attorney in a prominent lawsuit, involving dozens of parties and leading to changes in California state laws regarding health insurance. Ms. Beatty has been invited to speak on various news programs, including Nightline, ABC World News, CBS Evening News, MSNBC, Good Morning America, local Los Angeles news stations, and the BBC.
